A month?

It has been a month already since my last post…
You can tell where my loyalties are; can’t you?

In all honesty, I have been running around doing better things. This is not to say that Blogging is low on my list of interests; but it does mean it will always be the first on the chopping block when things become hectic.

I’ve been running around work like a chicken with my head cut off because I’ve had to find a replacement and train them before I took leave. I’m supposed to be separating from the military in May, and there are a lot of things I need to get done… SO I hope you understand.

Of course, I can always make time to take leave and go to Disneyland. There will be photos, I promise.

And on a photo-note… I love iPhoto from Apple. It’s the shazbot. I’ve been cataloging and organizing my plethora of photos into albums and such, and iPhoto has made it exceedingly easy. Thank you, Apple.

All this organization has got me thinking about my HTML prowess and the utter lack of activity I’ve been displaying therein. I’m working with a friend of mine (off and on) with a new management system that would make all this so much easier for me… We’ll see where that goes.

Now, I’m waiting my flight to LAX (because my previous flight at 6:30 was CANCELED! And because of this, I will now land in Hawaii after 4, vice Lunch.

But go Apple for the vast battery life so I can entertain myself for 4 hours! Did I mention I bought a MacBook Pro? Yeah… That’s what I’m playing on.

The topic has no bearing in this post. This will be my only reference. And that one.
… And that one?

Really, things are rather boring right now I have to admit.
Work is going exceedingly well, and I’m having a grand ol’ time as per usual. Of course, enjoying my work probably has something to do with that. I call it the “Job Satisfaction Coefficient” which is around 289.7 for me. This is not related to my FICO score (which I should probably check).

Seriously though, my job as of late has been very rewarding for me. And I just realized that I haven’t exactly blogged much about my job…

At current, I’m in a very unique situation in that not only am I the lowest ranking person (as an E5), but I’m the only enlisted member in my department. It proves challenging at times but it makes things interesting, truly.

Which is why I’m so interested in staying. I’m not sure if I would be comfortable doing the same job as what I’m doing now… I certainly wouldn’t mind it. But I’m looking for something a little more “challenging?” I say that with a question mark because my job is already challenging, but in a wholly different way. In all actuality I would love to do something which would utilize all my talents.

Asking too much? I think not (especially when I have so many marketable skills to offer a company)!

The Tides of Change

I really need to get back into the habit of blogging.
Oy.

In cake you may be wondering, I have been spending the vast majority of my free time writing my novel. Yes… My novel [I direct you here]. I am very very close, I just need to get my rumpus in gear and finish it.

But to be fair, I wrote 4000+ words over the weekend. So I’ve been productive!
At least I claim so.

And in other news, I’m still searching for a job. There was a brief advertisement I discovered in my email inbox for a supervisory job (in which I have no practical experience) but pays well.

I’ve thought about going for it just to see. But I was told (all too cryptically):

“Nah. Then you’d be stuck there.”

Feel free to ask me about that one if you’re really curious.

And that’s my life in a nutshell.
