It has been a month already since my last post…
You can tell where my loyalties are; can’t you?
In all honesty, I have been running around doing better things. This is not to say that Blogging is low on my list of interests; but it does mean it will always be the first on the chopping block when things become hectic.
I’ve been running around work like a chicken with my head cut off because I’ve had to find a replacement and train them before I took leave. I’m supposed to be separating from the military in May, and there are a lot of things I need to get done… SO I hope you understand.
Of course, I can always make time to take leave and go to Disneyland. There will be photos, I promise.
And on a photo-note… I love iPhoto from Apple. It’s the shazbot. I’ve been cataloging and organizing my plethora of photos into albums and such, and iPhoto has made it exceedingly easy. Thank you, Apple.
All this organization has got me thinking about my HTML prowess and the utter lack of activity I’ve been displaying therein. I’m working with a friend of mine (off and on) with a new management system that would make all this so much easier for me… We’ll see where that goes.
Now, I’m waiting my flight to LAX (because my previous flight at 6:30 was CANCELED! And because of this, I will now land in Hawaii after 4, vice Lunch.
But go Apple for the vast battery life so I can entertain myself for 4 hours! Did I mention I bought a MacBook Pro? Yeah… That’s what I’m playing on.
Many many many things going on…
I bring this up first and foremost because it is by far the biggest. I have teamed up with Rob (a friend/coworker/minion) to make a short film entitled Fragment (if you didn’t gather that detail already). I’m really excited to be a part of the creative team (director and writer), and get into the beauty of film once again.
Rob has procured a beastly 60GB Hi Def Sony Handycam and we agreed it needed some breaking in. Within the first day we had our storyline.
It will be a pseudo-drama philosophical social commentary that focuses mainly on the art of film. We both agreed that we wanted the angles and the film itself to speak louder than the plot or storyline, so we’ve kept things pretty simple.
Keep your eyes peeled for the announcements! I’ll be keeping a development blog on the topic, and it will be published via YouTube and various other means for your viewing pleasure!
- Idle Productions / Idle Pictures
I’ve decided to start a free-lance picture “company.” I use quotations because I really don’t have a business license, and it acts more like an “entity” than anything else–A placeholder if you will. Regardless, www.IdleProductions.com is up (sorta) and running (not really). Go there for updates on Fragment.
I’ve uploaded six albums (I think) of my many adventures abroad. There is still more to come as you may have seen from the To Do list in my News section.
Check them out!
I’ve finally gathered the gumption to offer my work for publication. I went ahead and started down the road to self publication and expect to be in print within the year (much sooner depending on my schedule).
Three cheers for random productivity!
Alright, that’s all I can think of at this time. But rest assured that I’ll let you know if I happen to come up with something else.
PEACE!
I was looking over some old photos I’ve taken on my many travels, and I noticed one thing in common in all of them:
Strangely, there is invariably a picture of a door (if not several).
I put it off as a morbid fascinationwith doors (I know when I qualify for morbid fascinations). Then I realized that I wanted to be a doorman when I grew up. And the implications of how I love helping people make decisions in their lives (despite I’m horrible at it with myself)… Opening doors, you can say.
I smiled at the fact that my inner passions have manifested themselves seemingly without effort; naturally.
