Bad blogger!
Yes, I haven’t blogged recently. And for that, I am sorry.
Let’s recap what has been going on:
Rain.
Rain.
Rain.
Rain.
Rain.
Car Died.
Rain.
That’s about it.
On the flip side, I’m working on a new layout, so heads up on that one.

The hurricane has turned out to be worse than I had anticipated. Well, for us that is.
Because of the extent of damage that has been sustained in New Orleans and across two other states, our station has opened its doors for nearby stations to evacuate to. I expect that we will be lending aid in some fashion or another over the course of this time, although how or when is a different question.
For now I’ve been moved out of my barracks to make room for the evacuation coming our way. No worries though, I’m not really going anywhere. I’m just moving across a courtyard into neighboring barracks.
Unfortunately I will have internet no longer.
Funny, here I am lamenting about how I won’t have internet when thousands don’t even have power…
Anyhow, just letting you all know that I’m not sure how long it will be before things will return to “normal” or when I’ll have access to the internet once again. I suppose you’ll all find out when I get it back, obviously.
Until then, God bless.
To all my faithful readers (the few, the proud…) you may rest in knowing I am well, alive and ready to see another day.
The hurricane wasn’t an immediate threat to us so the captain never saw the need to evacuate. So I got to spend the time hunkered down in the confines of my own room! Lovely, no?
Everything is okay, as I inferred, and I am very happy to announce that the whole ordeal wasn’t as bad as everyone predicted. I appreciate any prayers that were sent my way, they no doubt helped.
And I shall post again shortly.
